Forum Activity Summary by Course (Instructor Dashboard)

The Forum Activity Summary by Course report is frequently used to evaluate forum participation. The Student Discussion Usage represents unique user discussions/student count. The Student Post Usage represents unique user posts/student count. Higher numbers imply greater usage.

  1. Instructor Dashboard Access: Click here! For the report directory, click here!
  2. Need more help? Click here!
  3. Search: Find specific data in your report by type a word or words into the "Search" box.  Click 'OK'. To go back to the full report, delete your search words and click 'OK' again.  NOTE: This is a great way to filter by Course, etc.
  4. Filter Time Period: Click the "Today" drill down to bring up the following time periods: Today, Yesterday, Last 7 Days, Last 30 Days, Last 90 Days, Show All. Choose your option and click 'OK' NOTE: Don't forget to change the dates for other reports.
  5. Export: Click the "CSV" drill down to bring up the following options: CSV, XLS, PDF, HTML. Choose your option and click 'OK'. Your data will download automatically in the format you chose.

REPORT DATA COLUMNS

Course Name Course name as entered in the LMS System
Forum Name Forum name as entered in the LMS System
Forum Type Forum type as entered in the LMS System
# of Discussions Number of discussions in the associated forum
# of Unique User Discussions Number of unique users in the discussion in the associated forum
# of Unique User Posts Number of unique user in the posts in the associated forum
# of Participating Learners Number of learners in the associated forum
# of Participating Teachers Number of teachers in the associated forum
# of Participating Users Number of users in the associated forum
StudentDissUsage The Student Discussion Usage represents unique user discussions/student count. Higher numbers imply greater usage.
StudentPostUsage The Student Post Usage represents unique user posts/student count. Higher numbers imply greater usage.
