My Datasets: How to Edit a Dataset

Maximing a personal experience, IntelliBoard's landing page is comprised of two main components: 1) Library and 2) My Datasets.  The Library is the repository of IntelliBoard default datasets, charts, and dashboards.  Created by IntelliBoard, these defaults intend to be added to "My Datasets" and further curated to meet your data needs.  The Library also may contain datasets created, published and approved by your organization.  My Datasets intends to be your specific, high-priority datasets.

I want to make edits to Datasets or a Dashboard.

After adding a dataset to your Library, you can create a clone of the report that is can be editted in the Builder.

Step 1: Open the dataset and click "Clone"

Step 2: Rename Dataset

Each dataset must have a unique name.  The popup will default to the existing name, but you must rename the dataset.

Step 3: Confirm

Click Confirm.  A new version of the report, with a new report URL and unique identifier will be created.  You'll automatically be brought to the Builder in edit mode.

Step 4: Edit Setting

Before going further, edit the settings which controls your description (which displays on the title) as well as the tags.  Editting this now allows you to place helper text and versioning directly in the platform.

I don't have a clone button. Why is that?

It sounds like you don't have Builder permissions.  The Primary Account Holder will automatically have Builder Permissions, but IB Users must have the Builder Admin Permission enabled in their Organizational Role.  You can find more information here.

To edit reports, you must have "Report Builder" enabled under Admin Permissions.
