Sync Courses From PowerSchool To Moodle

Courses and sections in PowerSchool can be viewed via
Start Page => School Setup => Sections.

In the screengrab above, the Test Course has 2 sections.

In Moodle Administration => Site administration => PowerSchool => Manual Sync => Powerschool section settings, administrators can select how to present the section.

The section can be presented as a user group or as a course. This option appears only once before the first synchronization - and cannot be changed after the sync.

As user group: Courses in PowerSchool – courses in Moodle and sections in PowerSchool – groups in Moodle. There are groups of users on courses. And every section in PowerSchool it's a new group in Moodle.

When you add a new activity you must indicate to which group this activity belongs. You can do this in Moodle Administration => Activity administration => Edit settings => Restrict access.

In Moodle one activity can belong to many groups. In PowerSchool will be created an assignment on every section.

As course: Courses in PowerSchool - categories in Moodle and sections in PowerSchool - courses in this category. When you add a new activity you don't need indicate to which group this activity belongs.

Also for correctly work of plugin, you need to enable completion tracking and restricted access in Moodle Administration => Site administration => Advanced features.

Enable completion tracking - to set the time, to which activity is working.
Enable restricted access - to set to which group the activity belongs.

After sync of courses is completed, students and teachers enrollment begins.

There is Co-teacher and Lead teacher on the course. They also are synchronized. And roles are assigned to them from Moodle Administration => Site administration => PowerSchool Manual Sync => User roles.
