"STANDARD" MONITORS

Active Courses monitor is a line chart that displays the number of users in all courses. If you hover over points, additional information about the date and the exact number of users will be shown.

Axes       Horizontal: Date

               Vertical: Number Of Users

 

Aggregate Site Visits by Day and Hour monitor displays the number of mouse clicks of the day and hour. The bottom bar represents the possible color options of the chart parts depending on the attendance as a percentage of the total. If you hover over a part of the chart, you will see additional information about the day of the week, time, and number of page visits.

Axes    Horizontal: Day Of Week

            Vertical: Hours

 

Browser Statistics monitor is a pie chart that displays the browsers (and percent of use) by users in the LMS system.

Completed vs InComplete Users monitor is a pie chart that displays percentage of users who have completed course(s) vs users who have not over a period of time. Utilize the course filter (on the top right of the monitor) to narrow the data to specific course(s).

Note: this monitor can be added more than once to a monitor set.

Course Enrollment Types monitor is a pie chart that displays the methods by which users were enrolled in a course filtered by specific date range.

Daily Activity Overview monitor displays the overview of live data by learners, teachers, and all users, their course enrollments, activity completions, course completions, new registrations, visits (mouse clicks), time spent and sessions during the current day.

NOTE: First line displays the data by the last 10 minutes, starting with "Page Views per Hour" monitor shows the data for the selected period of time.

Enrollments per Course monitor is a bar chart that displays the number of users enrolled to (registered to) during a specific time period. If you hover over bars, the exact number of enrolled (blue bars)/completed (orange bars) users will be shown.

Axes   Horizontal: Number Of Users

           Vertical: Course Name

 

HTTP Requests monitor is a pie chart that displays the LMS system pages that users viewed (requested) in percentage.

HTTP Requests Advanced monitor is a bar chart that displays the number of various LMS system pages requested by the users. Utilize the course filter (on the top right of the monitor) to narrow the data to  specific course(s).

Axes  Horizontal: Number of HTTP Request

          Vertical: LMS System Page

Language Utilization monitor is a pie chart that refers to the language used by users in the LMS system.

 

Most Visited Courses monitor is a bar chart that displays user visits per course. If you hover over bars, the exact number of page visits will be shown.

Axes   Horizontal: Number Of Users

           Vertical: Course Name

Moodle Mobile Logins vs Web Logins monitor is a bar chart that refers to logins. Hover over bars and you will see the actual number of the logins based on selected bar. 

Note: You can only choose 7 days at a time (due to the query and how long it would get with dates running across the bottom).

New Course(s) per Date Range monitor is a line chart that displays the number of courses that were created in the LMS system per day. If you hover over points, additional information about the date and the exact number of courses will be shown.

New Registrants monitor is a line chart that displays the number of new users that were created in the LMS system. If you hover over points, additional information about the date and the exact number of users will be shown.

Axes    Horizontal: Date

            Vertical: Number Of Users

 

Operating Systems monitor is a pie chart that displays the OSs (and percent of use) by users in the LMS system.

Overview of Enrolled Students monitor is a bar chart that displays students by sorting them by the number of courses in which they are enrolled. If you hover over bars, the exact number of students will be shown.

Axes   Horizontal: Number Of Courses

           Vertical: Number Of Students

 

Report Monitor displays the short version of chosen report (without any filters) within the link to the report. There are 2 ways to choose which report will be shown:

Option 1

  • From the Monitor Set click Personalize Monitor Set
  • Click Configurations under the Name field
  • Click ellipsis near Report Monitor
  • Choose the needed monitor from the dropdown menu 
  • Save the Monitor Set

Option 2

  • From the Monitor Set click Report Monitor (to open it as a separate monitor)
  • From the opened Monitors: Report Monitor page click Personalize Monitor
  • Choose the needed monitor from the dropdown menu 
  • Save the monitor

Note: this monitor can be added more than once to a monitor set.

Student Grade Progression monitor is a line chart that displays learner's progress in obtaining grades. If you hover over the line, additional information about the date and time, student's grade, and course max grade will be shown.

For getting the monitor data click dots square in the top right corner of the monitor and select the Course and User in this course.

NOTE: The pop-up of additional information contain next:

  • 1st line: Date and Time when learner got the grade
  • 2nd line: Learner's Total Grade in percentage
  • 3rd line: Total (max) Grade (in points) by activities within the course that learner completed

E.g., learner completed 3 activities and got next grades - 70/100 points in the 1st activity, 85/100 points in the 2nd activity, and 86/100 points in the 3rd activity. In total he got 241/300 points that is 80%. So the pop-up will show "Grade: 80" in the 2nd line and "Course Max Grade: 300" in the 3rd line.

Total User Visits (Clicks) monitor is a line chart that displays the number of user mouse clicks all over the LMS system. If you hover over points, additional information about the exact number of user clicks will be shown.

             Vertical: Number Of Mouse Clicks

Unique Sessions monitor is a line chart that displays the number of unique logins over a time period. If you hover over points, additional information about the exact number of logins will be shown.

User Creation (System Level) Types monitor is a pie chart that shows by which method users were registered in the system filtered by a specific date range.

 

User_Enrollment__Session_and_Completion_Activity_Levels.png

User Enrollment, Session and Completion Activity Levels monitor is a line chart that displays 3 graphs comparing enrollment to courses (green line), user sessions (number of unique users in a Moodle by day) inside the LMS (blue line), and course completions (orange line). If you hover over points, additional information about the exact number of enrollments, sessions or completions will be shown. It's possible to filter information by course.

NOTE:

  • If you select date range less or equal to 45 days, the report will be grouped by day
  • If you select date range less or equal to 80 days, the report will be grouped by week
  • If you select date range less or equal to 368 days, the report will be grouped by month
  • If you select date range bigger than 368 days, the report will be grouped by year

User_Sessions_per_Week.png

User Sessions per Week monitor displays the LMS usage per day. The bottom bar represents the possible color options of the chart parts depending on the usage as a percentage of the total. If you hover over a part of the chart, you will see additional information about the month, week number, and number of sessions.

            Vertical: Month

 

Users_Map__Based_on_User_Country_in_Profile_.png

Users Map (Based on User Country in Profile) monitor displays the users' locations as noted in the users' profile country fields. The bottom bar represents the possible color options of the map parts depending on the users number. Map may be zoomed in or out. If you hover over a countries, you will see additional information about the name of the country, and the number of LMS users from this country.

Course Visits per Day monitor is a bar chart that displays the number of users who visited a selected course(s) per day over a period of time. If you hover over bars, the exact number of users will be shown. Utilize the date filter and course filter (on the top right of the monitor) to narrow the data to a particular timeframe and course(s).

Daily Session Overview monitor is a bar chart that displays the number of LMS sessions per hour per day. If you hover over bars, the exact number of sessions will be shown. Utilize the date filter (on the top right of the monitor) to narrow the data to a particular timeframe. 

Note: The sessions are not unique. Example: A user can have multiple sessions within a day and all sessions will be counted.

COURSE INFORMATION

 

Course Information monitor displays aggregate course information.

Total Courses

# Of Visible Courses: The number of courses visible in the LMS

# Of Hidden Courses: The number of courses hidden in the LMS

# Of Modules: The number of components/parts within a course in the LMS system

Course Activity

# Of Learners: The number of learners enrolled in courses

# Of Instructors: The number of instructors in courses

# Of Completed Learners: The number of learners who completed the course (this must be enabled in the LMS system)

Course Results

# Of Certificates Issued: The number of certificates received by learners

# Of Modules Completed: The number of modules completed by learners (this function must be enabled in your LMS system)

# Of Modules Reviewed: The number of modules viewed (but not completed) by learners

 

LEARNER INFORMATION

Learner Information monitor provides an aggregate of learner data.

Total Learners

# Of Created Learners: The number of learners in the LMS system

# Of Not Confirmed Learners: The number of learners who haven't confirmed his/her account yet

# Of Suspended Learners: The number of learners who was suspended in the LMS system

Enrolled Learners

 # Of Manual Enrolled Learners: The number of learners who was enrolled manually in courses

# Of Self Enrolled Learners: The number of learners who enrolled in courses by themselves

# Of Cohort: The number of cohorts that are in the LMS system

Status 

# Of Active Learners: The number of learners have accessed the system at least one time

# Of Completed Learners: The number of learners who completed the course (this function must be enabled in LMS system)

# Of Deleted Learners: The number of learners who was deleted from the system

 

LMS TOTALS

LMS Totals monitor displays total numbers of LMS content.

Total # Of Users: The total number of users in the LMS system

Total # Of Courses: The total number of courses in the LMS system

Total # Of Modules: The total number of components/parts within a course in the LMS system

Total # Of Categories: The total number of categories in the LMS system

 

SYSTEM INFORMATION

System_Information.pngSystem Information monitor shows aggregate system information.

Visits

Total # Of Visits: The total number of times the user has visited the LMS system

# Of Course Visits: The number of times the users have visited the all courses

# Of Module Visits: The number of times the users have visited the all modules in associated courses

Time Spent    

Time On Site: Learner's aggregate time spent on total LMS site

Time On Courses: Learner's aggregate time spent on enrolled courses

Time On Activities: Learner's aggregate time spent on activities

Total Size on Disk

Total Size: The total size of files in the LMS system

Size Of Courses: The total size of course files

Size Of Users: The total size of learner files


GENERAL MONITOR OVERVIEW

  • Filter your dates! Most monitors include a time filter. 
  • Refresh your data.
  • Review the monitor in the individual tab.
  • Download your data in an PDF, CSV or XLS.
  • Share your data via email, scheduled monitor, or API key.
  • Delete the monitor from the monitor set.
