User and Sub-Account Filters (Canvas LMS)

User and Sub-Account Filters allows you, the IntelliBoard Admin (main subscriber), to choose which Sub-Accounts, user statuses and visibility you’d like to view in your account.

Editing User and Sub-Account Filters

Filtering setup is necessary for more optimal and quick display of your data. If you do not limit the data, it defaults to showing the site wide Canvas data. To limit the data by Sub-Accounts, user statuses and visibility, follow the steps below:

  • From navigation menu go to Settings + Options > Servers > [Your connection]
  • From the connection page, click User and Sub-Account Filters
  • This page will show the following filters

1. Canvas Sub Account Filter

Select Sub Accounts in your LMS system so that IntelliBoard will show the data of users and courses from these Sub Accounts only.

2. Only display users with the following status(es) 

Select user statuses so that IntelliBoard will display the data of users who have the required statuses in the LMS system.

Creation Pending Users who were created in the LMS system and a confirmation email was sent to them, but they have not yet confirmed it.
Deleted Users who are totally deleted from the LMS system.
Pre-Registered Users who have been created in the LMS system, but not yet activated.
Registered Users who are active in the LMS system.

3. Only display users created after

Select the date so that IntelliBoard will display the data of users created after the required date. It filters all users and displays only those who were created after the specified date.

NOTE: This field is not required. You can disable this filter using the X. We recommend this date filter be cleared. 

4. Only display users who have logged in after

Select the date so that IntelliBoard will display the data of users who started their activity in the LMS after the required date. It filters all users and display only those who logged in after the specified date.

NOTE: This field is not required. You can disable this filter using the X. We recommend this date filter be cleared. 

 

Saving Settings

  • If this is your initial connection set up, click on Save button to save settings

  • If this is your connection update, click on Save and Process Canvas Data button to save and apply settings
