"STANDARD" MONITORS

 

Aggregate Site Visits by Day and Hour monitor displays the number of mouse clicks of the day and hour. The bottom bar represents the possible color options of the chart parts depending on the attendance as a percentage of the total. If you hover over a part of the chart, you will see additional information about the day of the week, time, and number of page visits.

Axes    Horizontal: Day Of Week

            Vertical: Hours

Aggregate Student Page Views per Teacher is a bar chart that displays the number of page views by students in courses taught by selected teachers.

THIS MONITOR FILTERS:

  • SubAccount/IB user: Select SubAccount/IB user(s) to appear on the monitor (i.e. Selecting "College of Law" will only show page views in this SubAccount/IB user)

Axes   Horizontal: Number Of Users

           Vertical: Teacher

Completion Percentage by Course monitor is a pie chart that displays the users completed or not completed a course.

THIS MONITOR FILTERS:

  • Course: Select the specific course to appear on the monitor (i.e. Selecting "Accounting" will only show user's completion in this course)

Course Availability Status monitor is a pie chart that displays course statuses in the LMS system.

Course Enrollments vs Completions by Date monitor is a bar chart that displays total course enrollments (orange) and completions (blue) filtered by date.

If you hover over bars, the exact number of user enrollments/completions will be shown.

Axes   Horizontal: Date

           Vertical: Number Of Users

Course Grade Distribution monitor is a bar chart that displays how many enrollments in system have each of grade and which grade is more received. If you hover over bars, additional information about the exact number of users who got this mark will be shown.

NOTE: Students without grades will not appear in this Monitor.

THIS MONITOR FILTERS:

  • Course: Select the specific course to appear on the monitor (i.e. Selecting "Accounting" will only show user's grades in this course)

Axes Horizontal: # Of Enrolls

          Vertical: Number Of Users

Course Inactivity monitor is a line chart that displays the number of inactive users in courses. If you hover over points, additional information about the exact number of inactive users will be showed.

THIS MONITOR FILTERS:

  • Courses: Select the specific course to appear on the monitor (i.e. Selecting "Accounting" will only show user's inactivity in this course)
  • Inactivity Intervals:  Select how many days users must be inactive (not logged on to the LMS) to appear on the report (i.e. Selecting "Inactive 1 Day" means users will not have logged on to the LMS in the past 1 day and more)

Created Course Content monitor is a bar chart that displays numbers of content items in courses that were created by the selected period of time.

THIS MONITOR FILTERS:

  • Courses: Select the specific course to appear on the monitor (i.e. Selecting "Accounting" will only show numbers of content items in these course)

Cumulative Enrollments monitor is a pie chart that shows the courses and percentage of users in them by a specific date range. 

THIS MONITOR FILTERS:

  • Course: Select the specific course to appear on the monitor (i.e. Selecting "Accounting" will only show user's completion in this course)

Enrolled vs Completed Users monitor is a bar chart that displays numbers of users who enrolled (blue) and completed (orange) the course by a specific date range. If you hover over bars, additional information about the exact number of enrolled and completed users will be shown.

THIS MONITOR FILTERS:

  • Course: Select the specific course to appear on the monitor (i.e. Selecting "Accounting" will only show user's completion in this course)

NOTE: This monitor can display only 200 courses in one time.

Enrollments per Course monitor is a bar chart that displays the number of users that were enrolled into courses in each month. If you hover over bars, additional information about the month and the exact number of enrolled users will be shown.

THIS MONITOR FILTERS:

  • Course: Select the specific course to appear on the monitor (i.e. Selecting "Accounting" will only show user's completion in this course)

Axes Horizontal: Number Of Users

         Vertical: Course

Geographic User Distribution monitor is a pie chart that shows user countries they were logged in.

Language Utilization monitor is a pie chart that refers to the language selected as a field in the LMS in user settings.

NOTE: This monitor isn't available for People.

New Course(s) per Date Range monitor is a line chart that displays the number of courses that were created in the LMS system per day. If you hover over points, additional information about the date and the exact number of courses will be shown.

THIS MONITOR FILTERS:

  • SubAccount/IB user: Select SubAccount/IB user(s) to appear on the monitor (i.e. Selecting "College of Law" will only show new courses in this SubAccount/Ib user)

Axes Horizontal: Date

          Vertical: Number Of Courses

Page Views by Tool monitor is a bar chart that displays total numbers of page views by tools in the LMS system.

THIS MONITOR FILTERS:

  • Course: Select the specific course to appear on the monitor (i.e. Selecting "Accounting" will only show numbers of page views by selected course)

Participation at a Glance monitor is a pie chart that shows all courses and the full percentage of users in them.

THIS MONITOR FILTERS:

  • Limit: Select the number of courses to appear on the monitor (i.e. Selecting "Top 10 Courses" will only show 10 courses with their user percentages)

Percentage of Courses Using Tools monitor is a bar chart that displays the courses that use a specific tool. It firstly "looks" on tools and then calculate the percentage of courses that use this tool.

THIS MONITOR FILTERS:

  • Terms: Select Term(s) to appear on the monitor (i.e. Selecting "Spring 2020" will only show tools usage within courses in this Term)

Axes   Horizontal: Percentage of Usage

           Vertical: Tool

Performance by Student Status monitor is a pie chart that displays user's activity in the courses.

  • Not Started: This part shows the percentage of users who don't have any courses at all, or they have, but no one is completed
  • In progress: This part shows the percentage of users who have both finished and not finished courses
  • Completed: This part shows the percentage of users who have completed all courses

NOTE: Clicking chart pieces brings you to the User Site Summary Detail report that displays users with selected performance status.

Quiz Performance monitor displays grade aggregation statistics for quiz submissions in particular period of time. If you hover over bars, additional information about the grade, where students are after passing the quiz, will be shown.

THIS MONITOR FILTERS:

  • Course: Select the specific course to appear on the monitor (i.e. Selecting "Accounting" will only show user's completion in this course)

Axes Horizontal: Date

         Vertical: Grade

Report Monitor displays the short version of chosen report (without any filters) within the link to the report. There are 2 ways to choose which report will be showed:

Option 1

  • From the Monitor Set click Personalize Monitor Set
  • Click Configurations under the Name field
  • Click ellipsis near Report Monitor
  • Choose the needed monitor from the dropdown menu 
  • Save the Monitor Set

Option 2

  • From the Monitor Set click Report Monitor (to open it as a separate monitor)
  • From the opened Monitors: Report Monitor page click Personalize Monitor
  • Choose the needed monitor from the dropdown menu 
  • Save the monitor

Total Tool Usage is a pie chart that displays the total percentage of tool usage site wide. It firstly "looks" on course(s) or site at all and then calculate the percentage of tools that are used in this course(s) or the whole LMS.

THIS MONITOR FILTERS:

  • Courses: Select the specific course to appear on the monitor (i.e. Selecting "Accounting" will only show tool usage in this course)
  • Course Tools: Select the specific tool in the course to appear on the monitor (i.e. Selecting "Quizzes" will only show percentage of this tool usage)

User Enrollment and Completion Activity Levels monitor is a line chart that displays 2 graphs comparing enrollment to courses (orange line), and course completions (blue line). If you hover over points, additional information about the exact number of enrollments or completions will be shown. It's possible to filter information by course.

Axes Horizontal: Date

         Vertical: Total Numbers

User Grade Compared to Average On Course monitor is a bar chart that displays user's grade (blue bar) compared to highest user grade (orange bar), lowest user grade (green bar) and average grade (dark blue bar) on course.

NOTE: Highest, lowest and average grades are calculated by all users in the course.

For getting the monitor data click dots square in the top right corner of the monitor and select the Course and User in this course. Selected course and user will be displayed in the top of the monitor.

THIS MONITOR FILTERS:

  • Course: Select the specific course to appear on the monitor (i.e. Selecting "Accounting" will only show user's completion in this course)
  • User: Select the specific user to appear on the monitor (i.e. Selecting "Armella Clark" will only show grades of this user)


"LONG" MONITORS

COURSE INFORMATION

Course Information monitor displays aggregate course information.

  • Total Courses

# Of Visible Courses: The number of courses visible in the LMS

# Of Hidden Courses: The number of unpublished, deleted and completed courses in the LMS

  • Unique Course Enrollments by Role

# Of Learners: The number of learners enrolled in courses

# Of Teachers: The number of teachers in courses

  • Activity Completion

# Of Modules: The number of components/parts within a course in the LMS system

# Of Modules Completed: The number of modules completed (graded activities) by all learners


LEARNER INFORMATION

Learner Information monitor provides an aggregate of learner data.

  • Total Learners

# Of Registered Learners: The number of learners in the LMS system

# Of Pre Registered Learners: The number of learners who have been created in the LMS system, but not yet activated.

# Of Pending Learners For Creation: The number of learners who were created in the LMS system and a confirmation email was sent to them, but they have not yet confirmed it.

  • Enrolled Users  

# Of Manual Enrolled Learners (within Instructor): The number of learners who was enrolled manually by instructors in courses

# Of Self Enrolled Learners: The number of learners who enrolled in courses by themselves

  • User Status

# Of Active Users: The number of learners have accessed the system at least one time

# Of Invited: The number of learners who was enrolled to the course(s), but they have not yet confirmed the registration.

# Of Completed Learners: The number of learners who completed the course


LMS TOTALS

LMS Totals monitor displays system stats for total number of Courses, Students, Instructors and Participation Percentage in the LMS.

Total # Of Courses: The total number of courses in the LMS systemTotal

# Of Students: The total number of students in the LMS system

Total # Of Instructors: The total number of instructors in the LMS system

Participation Percentage: The percentage of user's participation in courses

GENERAL MONITOR OVERVIEW
  

  • Filter your dates! Most monitors include a time filter. 
  • Refresh your data.
  • Review the monitor in the individual tab.
  • Download your data in an PDF, CSV or XLS.
  • Share your data via email, scheduled monitor, or API key.
  • Delete the monitor from the monitor set.
