Checkout Rules - Overview

IntelliCart Checkout Rules allow you to create conditions of product purchasing for your customers.

NOTE: Products in categories for checkout rules MUST have assigned courses to check product enrollment.

Before you get started... 

  • You MUST have an IntelliBoard account.
  • You have to be signed-in as a user with full admin rights.
  • You should have an installed IntelliCart plugin.
  • Checkout Rules should be enabled in your LMS system.

HOW TO CREATE INTELLICART CHECKOUT RULE

Step 1: Create an IntelliCart Checkout Rule

  • Choose IntelliCart and click on Checkout Rules tab. 
  • In the top right corner of the tab, click on Create New.

Step 2: Write Your Checkout Rule

1) Name - Name your checkout rule as you wish.

NOTE: This field is required.

2) Type - Select the type of checkout rule.   

  • Product Category - select the category from Products of category drop-down below where products can't be bought before customer adds a required product Quantity from another category (could be selected in Rule for products of category) to the cart, OR has active product enrollments (into courses in product) in another category.
    E.g., you selected "Sub-Category" in Products of category drop-down, put "2" to Quantity, selected the "Less" Rule, and "Main-Category" in Rule for products of category. In this case, customer has to buy/add to cart/be enrolled into 1 product course from the "Main-Category" to have an ability to purchase products from "Sub-Category".

  • Products of category in cart - select the category from Products of category drop-down below where products can't be bought before customer adds a required product Quantity from this category to the cart.
    E.g., you selected "Main-Category" in Products of category drop-down, put "2" to Quantity, and selected the "More" Rule. In this case, customer has to add to cart 3 or more products from the "Main-Category" to have an ability to purchase them.
  • Products of category active enrollments - select the category from Products of category drop-down below where products can't be bought before customer get a required Quantity of product course enrollments from this category.
    E.g., you selected "Main-Category" in Products of category drop-down, put "2" to Quantity, and selected the "Equal" Rule. In this case, customer has to be enrolled into 2 courses of products from the "Main-Category" to have an ability to purchase other products.

3) Products of category - Select the category where products can't be bought until the condition met (check Type setting above).

4) Quantity - Enter the number of products/courses that has to be in cart/have enrollments.

5) Rule - Select the rule (Equal/Less/More) that will be applied for product/course Quantity above.

6) Rule for products of category - Select the category where user has to add products to the cart or have active enrollments for being able to buy products from category selected in Products of category setting.
NOTE: This setting will appear only when Product Category option is selected under the Type setting above. Check the description for that setting to get known how the rule works.

7) Status - Choose whether the coupon is visible or hidden.

8) Save - Save your changes.

CHECKOUT RULE FEATURES - OVERVIEW

When you are done creating, you'll see all checkout rules in the next view.

1) Status filter - Filter your checkout rules by their status (active/inactive).

2) Search - Search checkout rules by their names.

3) Name - Checkout rule Name as entered.

4) Type - The checkout rule type as selected.

5) Created - The date when the checkout rule was created.

6) Edit - Edit your checkout rule.

7) Delete - Delete your checkout rule.

8) Status - Choose whether the checkout rule is visible or hidden.

9) Assign Vendors - Assign Vendors to the selected checkout rule. Read more about Vendors HERE.

I.e., if you assign Acme Corp vendor to the checkout rule, only users from this vendor have to stick selected checkout rule.

NOTE: If you assign 2 or more vendors, all users are at least in one of these vendors have to stick selected checkout rule.

10) Multiple Actions - Select several checkout rules and do the same action for them.
